Adoption Draft: On December 23, 2024, the City of Corning received a letter of Conditional Compliance on the draft 2024-2029 Housing Element from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). At a public hearing on January 21, 2025, the City of Corning Planning Commission will consider recommending that the Corning City Council officially adopt the 2024-2029 Housing Element and its associated CEQA Exemption. The Corning City Council will consider officially adopting the 2024-2029 Housing Element and its associated CEQA Addendum at a public hearing on February 11, 2025. Upon the City Council’s adoption of the 2024-2029 Housing Element, the adopted draft will be submitted to HCD for a final certification review.

Subsequent Submittal Draft: On November 8th, 2024, the City of Corning received a letter with findings on the draft 2024-2029 Housing Element from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). In response to this feedback, the City has revised the draft.
