LIBRARY COMMISSION MEETING

DUE TO LACK OF AGENDA

SUBJECT:   LIBRARY UPDATE

Dear Library  Commissioners:

The scheduled quarterly meeting for July 3rd has been cancelled as we have no discretionary items to discuss at this time. Staff would like to provide the Commission with a Library Remodel update and inform you of the resignation of one of the Commissioners.

Resignation of Library Commissioner Carol Mueller :

Staff received a letter of resignation effective immediately from Library Commissioner from Commissioner Carol Mueller.  Carol will be greatly missed on the Commission; the City is grateful to Carol for her service to the community and for her 12 years of service on the Library Commission.

Library Remodel:

Following the previous Library Commission meeting on April 10^th, Staff submitted the items discussed to Antoinette McNulty (Toni) with CMC Architecture to provide direction on the final design of the Library Remodel.  CMC Architecture followed up by providing updated drawings along with additional questions which Staff answered.  Currently, CMC Architecture is wrapping up the final design and putting together two-color palates of interior finished for the Library Ad-Hoc Committee to choose from.  Once these decisions are made and the design documents are completed and approved, Staff will prepare to put the Library Remodel out to Bid.
