Police Activities League
PAL, The Tehama County Police Activities League, was established in 1995. A youth crime prevention program, it is designed to bring police officers and kids together in a non-threatening environment. PAL is one of the oldest citizen-building youth programs in the nation. It brings together volunteer off-duty cops, citizens and kids. By allowing kids to see cops in a non-enforcement role, PAL shows kids that we are human beings. It also gives police officers a different perspective on some of the problems that today's youth face at home, at school and on the streets of their communities.
In this area, Corning kids can learn boxing, wrestling and karate. These activities reinforce the dedication and commitment sports requires. We also sponsor a very successful mentoring program.
Please call 824-7014 if you would like to volunteer, or if you have any questions.
